About the Van Driver Position :
- $18.50 / HR
- Drives a regular route, is a regular, spare or charter driver.
- Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the Vehicle utilizing Zonar technology, including child
checks.
- Assists students in the loading and unloading process.
- Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
- Attends all safety and training meetings.
- Conducts emergency evacuation from the vehicle, including exiting from the emergency door.
- Cleans the insides of the vehicle including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows. Cleans outside
windows of the vehicle.
Other specialized functions as required by contract.
Van Driver Qualifications :
- Good verbal communication skills
- At least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
